Note: this is a beta version, use at your own risk (as always)

The remote control tool now has support for "ask user permission before connecting"
Upgraded to the latest uvnc which has fixes for user fast-switching and RDP issues.

Please leave any remarks in this thread.

Download from http://www.lansweeper.com/beta/lsremote.exe

Update 17 March
Added 10 days extra after license key expiration.
Additional command line switches: /ap /np (ask permission, don't ask permission)
lsremote.exe {computer} /ap
lsremote.exe {computer} /np

Warning: some anti-virus tools detect VNC as riskware

Very nice,

Is there a way to get it to autoaccept after so long instead of autoreject? Our helpdesk sometimes logs into PC's after hours to work on the PC's.

Also is there a way to change the IP address to the user name of the person trying to log in?

May request a switch to turn on and off the Ask user for permision box. For example "\\server\lstools\lsremote.exe /a" to auto connect and ask for Ask permision and "\\server\lstools\lsremote /n" for not to ask. We use lsremote in a couple scripts and may need the option.

Otherwise very nice.

Why not just use it with the ask permission box unchecked?

No, this is build in into uvnc.

Good idea.

Because then I will need to go to each PC that uses this and uncheck it. We have 2 departments outside IT with a total of around 40 people that use this. They connect to PC's that run scripts and render images. Also I should note that it's a shortcut with the PC names built in.

This isn't a big deal, I can roll out a regedit patch.

Very good
Will be nice to have a custom message for asking permissions, at least a possibility to put a custom name instead of IP

No, the software uses the standard vnc commands.

Great, I'm moving to your remote control now. Thank you for the /ap switch. Just one question, is it "clever" enough to see if a user is logged in and if not, it enters without asking permission?

No, you will need /np for this (or no switch) then it will work like the old lsremote.

It seems to work great, and if the user is not logged in, it auto-accepts the connection, you are using the standard vnc behavior on that too. :-) thanks for the improvements!
