Adobe released multiple vulnerability advisories in August covering After Effects, Prelude, Photoshop, Premiere Pro Character Animator, Adobe Experience Manager, Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC.
If you are a Creative Cloud or Experience Manager (APSB19-42) user be sure to review Adobe’s Security Bulletins & Advisories. According to Adobe’s update summary, “these updates resolve a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) handler in AEM versions 6.4 and 6.5. Successful exploitation could result in unauthorized access to the AEM environment.”
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in Adobe Photoshop CC (APSB19-44) as well as Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader (APSB19-41), the most severe of which could allow for arbitrary code execution.
The Adobe vulnerability incorporates different memory corruption issues that can prompt arbitrary code execution and data leakage. These problems have been evaluated “significant” and Adobe recommends their users to patch their products as soon as possible.
To give you some more information regarding Patch Tuesday, Microsoft also released a patch for August 2019 that addresses some vulnerabilities.
