Multiple Vulnerabilities in Mozilla Firefox
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in Mozilla Firefox and Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR), the most severe of which could allow for remote code execution.
Mozilla Firefox ESR is a version of the web browser intended to be deployed in large organizations. Successful exploitation of the most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow for remote code execution. Depending on the privileges associated with the user, an attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than those who operate with administrative user rights.
There are currently no reports of these vulnerabilities being exploited in the wild, but let’s not wait for that to happen. You can easily identify machines with a vulnerable Mozilla Firefox version with our custom report. The report gives you a color-coded overview of all machines with a vulnerable Firefox version. After identifying the vulnerable devices, you can start deploying the Firefox patch for which we’ve created a deployment package.
Lansweeper can tell you in no time which devices have a vulnerable Firefox version in place and need to be patched. Instructions on how to find and patch affected devices can be found in this step-by-step guide.
