Founded in 1983 by Craig Benson and Robert Levine in a garage as Cabletron Networks, Enterasys Networks is computer networking equipment manufacturer. Currently Headquartered in Salem, New Hampshire, USA, Enterasys designs, develops, manufactures, and sells networking hardware like switches, routers, IEEE 802.11 wireless access points, controller, and other wireless equipment.

Besides hardware, Enterasys also provides software such as network security, intrusion prevention system, network access control, security information management, and other programs for managing networking equipment. In 2013, Enterasys was acquired by Extreme Networks and now provides networking solutions to customers around the world. Some of their customers include organizations such as Baylor University, Eldorado Resorts, Lowe’s, National Football League, and others.
