As part of the launch of Lansweeper Discovery, we are updating our Terms of Use to align with the new product offering and its requirements, ensuring clarity and transparency for our users.

Changes

For your convenience, we have listed the most notable changes to the Terms of Use:

  • Update of defined terms: “Application”, “Asset”, “Beta Release”, “Billing Contact Email”, “Cloud Platform”, “Lansweeper Account”, “Lansweeper Installation”, “License Key”, “Local Scanning Database”, “Preview Feature”, “Product”, “Product Metadata” (before: “Installation Metadata”), “Site”.
  • Added the defined terms “Free Tools” and “Integration” and deleted the defined term “Means of Access”.
  • The clauses relating to the provision of Beta Releases, Preview Features and Free Tools have been aligned and updated in accordance with our current practices and support policies.
  • With a view to streamlining our support service, second line support shall be provided via the Lansweeper support portal.
  • Additional examples of non-compliant use of the Product.
  • Lansweeper may assign its rights to its software partners to enforce the Customer’s compliance with the Terms.
  • Lansweeper may act as a reseller of third-party products.
  • The maximum number of Assets for an additional Lansweeper Installation deployment for testing purposes is limited to a percentage of the Customer’s Paid Subscription plan.
  • Contractual liability law is exclusively applicable in case of contractual breach of the Agreement.
  • Non-liability of Lansweeper’s auxiliary persons and agents in case of breach of the Agreement.
  • Updated the clause concerning Lansweeper’s right to verify the Customer’s compliance with the Agreement.

Please refer to the updated Terms of Use for a complete overview of all changes.

Acceptance

As per Article 19.11 of the previous version of the Terms of Use (version 2.1.1), there is no action needed by you to accept the updated Terms of Use (version 2.1.2). We wish however to inform you that, if you believe that a revision meaningfully reduces your rights, you may notify us within fifteen (15) calendar days following our email notification of the modifications that you do not agree with. In this case, we may allow you to continue using our product and services under the previous Terms of Use until your next subscription renewal date. After that, continuing to use Lansweeper will require agreeing to the latest Terms of Use.

In case you still have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
