Provider of cloud documentation and visualization complements Lansweeper’s network scanning and discovery capabilities
Dendermonde, 20 January 2022 – Lansweeper, the IT asset management platform provider, today announced it has acquired Montreal based UMAknow and its Cloudockit solution for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition, Lansweeper’s second to date and first since receiving €130M investment from Insight Partners, will extend and enhance Lansweeper’s capabilities by adding Cloudockit’s cloud discovery and documentation capabilities to the company’s product portfolio.
Lansweeper has been building a unique product platform and team since 2004, and this latest acquisition takes the company’s headcount to more than 225 people in offices across Belgium, Italy, Spain, the United States, and Canada.
Similar to Lansweeper’s on-premises IT estate data, UMAknow’ s Cloudockit technology automatically generates architecture diagrams and technical documentation of customer’s Cloud environments to support many scenarios.
One of which is the ability to understand Cloud environments and identify misconfigurations and potential security threats. With recent reports that the average cost of a security breach in the USA is $9.05M, businesses cannot afford to underestimate the value of knowing their IT estate.
“Hybrid IT environments are the new normal, so extending our product offering with the unique capabilities in Cloudockit makes perfect sense. We have been very impressed with the quality of the product this team has created and we look forward to what we can accomplish together.”
Dave Goossens, CEO at Lansweeper
This recent acquisition demonstrates the aggressive growth path Lansweeper is on and underlines its ambition to be at the forefront of IT Asset Intelligence, helping organizations discover, identify, and analyze their complete IT estate.
«This is a great opportunity to continue our adventure with Lansweeper. Customers will be surprised how the Lansweeper and the Cloudockit solutions compliment each other, and how both businesses share the same culture and vision. I am looking forward to sharing our joint capabilities with our customers and the added value that our integration will bring.”
Marco De Monte, President and co-founder UMAknow
