Detect Outlook Installations With the EX255650 Issue
After the patch Tuesday of May 2021, Microsoft released an update for Microsoft Office which includes Outlook that causes a display issue in Outlook. Emails appear to be completely blank or only show the first line of an email. Microsoft already acknowledged the issue and is working on getting a fix out to everyone by May 12, 2021, at 3:00 AM UTC. However, in the meantime, users with build number 13929.20372 will be experiencing this issue.
To resolve the issue, you can revert the office by executing the following in CMD:
cd %programfiles%Common FilesMicrosoft SharedClickToRun
OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.13901.20462
To find out which machines in your network are affected by the issue, simply run the report below which will list all machines with an Office version that has build number 13929.20372. You can even combine this with an email alert to make sure that if any Office installation update, you get alerted.
