Hello everyone!

I am running LanSweeper 5.1.0.64, all of my HP computers warranty information is blank. How do I get LanSweeper to get all the warranty information?

Thanks!

Please try the latest version 5.2.0.30 which now uses the HP webservice API to retrieve warranty data.

Hi

Any progress on this point ?

I don't have any SystemSKU in the tblAssetCustom table for my HP ProLiant BL460c G6 & HP ProLiant BL460c G8 servers and I guess that's the reason why I don't get any warranty or purchase information : the query embedded in Lansweeper 5.2.0.17 ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/weResults?tmp_weCountry=us&tmp_weSerial={assettag}&tmp_weProduct={systemsku}&lc=en&cc=us ) seems to rely on the systemsku to send it to the HP webservice, no systemsku means no information.

Please advise

Hi, the link does not work for product numbers containing a dash (like Proliant servers).
This one might work though http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/wc/home

We used this link in earlier versions but on this page also captcha is implemented. So we cannot use this link to scan the warranty of an asset.

I was actually looking at this in testing the beta.
It looks like it may work with this link but it is missing the tmp_weproduct var in the database (SystemSKU).

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/weResults?tmp_weCountry=us&tmp_weSerial=2UA7240VPJ&tmp_weProduct=RM686AA&lc=en&cc=us

I checked the database for the machine in question and I see that SystemSKU is blank in tblAssetCustom
If I update the SystemSKU in the database and set SystemSKU = 'RM686AA' the link on the asset will work again at least.

I checked the table tblWarranty and it looks like it has an error message "parsing error. Cannot parse http://h20565.www2.hp.com'

Don't know if the above link would work for much but at least it will work from the warranty link again

We have given the link to our developers and they are going to try to implement it.

It is a known issue that HP warranty scanning does not currently work. HP recently added CAPTCHA protection to its warranty pages, which makes it impossible for automated procedures to read the pages. We are researching other HP pages we could potentially use to retrieve the warranty info, but cannot give a release date for a fix. Development has found that different pages (e.g. the page you see when clicking the serial) provide different (or no) warranty results, so we may not be able to fix this issue at all.

The only way to track HP warranties for now is to manually add the warranty information by hitting the Edit Asset button on your asset pages or clicking the Assets link at the top of the web console and hitting the Editing Mode button on the left.

Warranty scanning of Dell, Fujitsu, IBM, Lenovo and Toshiba machines still works and can be enabled under Configuration/Scanning Setup/Server Options. You can rescan warranties by hitting the Rescan All Asset Warranties Now button on the same page.
